Hi Celeste,
This is just a couple of minutes from my home on the way to Sweetwater creek state park, about 20 minutes from Atlanta. Nothing much happens here but spring is nice with the flowering trees. Thanks for your encouragment.

Hi Mariano,

These paintings are beautiful. Isn't wonderful to paint plein air again. It's getting warmer on Long Island, but still a slight chill in the air. You remember how it use to be here.
Well done Mariano.

Have a great day
Joan

Hi Joan,
yes i remember the weather in LI, nothing like that here. The skin in my forearms bubbled up (I don't use creams) and is now gone. I have a nice tan. Here feels like full summer. It was nice beeing in plain air and it was a nice change to paint a scene versus still life. Can't wait to do that in Europe! Thank you very much for your nice comment and happy painting

Hi Mariano, first of all I would like to congratulate you on your accomplishments with your passion! Your profile is so very inspiring for beginners like myself. I love your impressionistic style that you have displayed in your art. I particularly liked the palette you chose for this work and the brush work.

Hi Padmaja,
thank you very much for your nice comments. French impressionist were my inspiration and somehow it rub off on me. For spring colors I took advantage of modern colors like Permanent Rose by Winsor@Newton and Phtalo Blue green very bright and dominant colors. Glad you like them. About the brush work I used a tip from Alex Perez, where you take a round brush and with players you squeeze the ferrule and create a brush longer than a filbert, that can carry a lot of paint and leave a carateristic brush mark. Best of luck to you ,the more you paint the more you are going to love it.
