Wow!! Mariano
Such vibrance and texture.
I just love the movement in the waves too.
That is some huge mountain and looks far into the distance. A nice balance of reds triangulated with your signature.
Cleverly painted.

Hi Trevor,
thank you for looking and specially for your nice comments that give me much needed encouragment. I recently started using phtalo colors, witch i love, also " do more with less" (as per Hall Groat II advise); witch means painting thin dark and thick, light. Also i am recently using copal medium so i am now putting thick light pigment on top of semi dry thin pigment. It adds to the dimension and movement i think. The reds attract the eye and help the movement in the picture. The red signature just a coincidence ,but i agree with you looks right! Mount Ossero is massive indeed about 1,650 feet,it dominates the Islands of Mali Losinj and the bigger one of Cres as well. In good visibility from the top you can see mount Conero in Ancona Italy about 60 miles or so (if i remember correctly) away to the West. Thank you again and mu best regards to You and Family

Hi Frank,
thanks for visiting and for your nice comment. I made this oil from a summer foto; but I was born at the foot of that mountin (on the other side)so you may understand my love for that scene. Presently I am studying 3 Books by Emile A.Grouppe' on brushworks, that i found extremely fascinating. Thanks a lot for your advise that suites me perfectly. Happy painting
