Opatija

This oil was made over a period of 3 days from a drawing and foto of my recent Trip to Croatia.

I would never attempt so many buildings at once...but you did a marvellous job.What I like most, however, is the water in foreground.Beautiful.. tiny waves lapping around the boats.

Hi Arti,
I am thankful for your generous comments. Took me almost 4 days to make this oil, and i struggled with it. It was complex. I am not so sure i did justice to the fantastic panorama. But i try. Tks Arti all the best

Your love for the scene shines through, Mariano. I think you must have heightened the colors..but then I saw your photographs and find that the bright colors are very true. You did a great job of depicting this magical place!

I am very encouraged by your comments, thanks. Just recently started using some phtalo colors, and i love them. They add dimension to an oil for sure. Happy painting :)
