Munsell Color Wheel

Today, i gessoed 15 MDF panel (4 coats of Utrech Artist Acrylic gesso diluited 50/50 with water) Good thing they were small! Than i try to make a Munsell color wheel. Quite different from the regular color wheel, as it has 5 primary; the regular 3 plus violet and green. Not an easy task. I used Rembrandt colors

Hi Celeste,
Thank you, I was shocked when a week ago I learned about the Munsell wheel from Daniel, I am so used to the regular French wheel! The addition of Violet and Green as primary is a new ball game! Violet is a very complicated color. The Violet i used for the wheel was too transparent. Also by mistacke i used Cad Yell Medium? should have been cad yell light. Also have to retake the photo. Happy painting, I am going to the lake and sail a teddy bear on my remote control sailing boat for Ciara(my grandkid 6) school project and take a movie of it.

Hi Bondearte,
I was looking to buy one, but could not found any place, so I decided to make one last night. The violet is such a complicated color , also the most expensive in every brand. Difficult to find a good one.
Van Gogh was my original love as well,I saw 100 of his original in Brooklyin N.Y. 30 years ago.One of the best experience of my life. All the best,
Mariano
