Hi Celeste,
Thanks a lot for your comment. I agree with you. Generally I found with flower the less brush strokes the better. The more you work on a petal trying to match the planes, color etc, the more you are going to mess it up! Happy painting and thank you again

tu sei molto gentile e misericordioso, io dovrei lavorere di piu' e con risultati migliori! Ho tanti colori a olio di diverse ditte e li voglio provare tutti, ma ci vuol tempo. Ma ormai sono vecchio e rimbambito , questo l'avoro l'avrei dovuto fare 40 anni fa' , allora si' che adesso sarei a buon punto!

Hi Arti,
thank you very much for your nice comments, yes the colors are very clean because there is no preliminary drawing on it, and the background is smooth and simple so every color you put down really stand up. You paint the background first , than with a palette knife you scrape away the bachground paint from where you wont your subjects, you use Q-tips for smaller areas. On the vase you apply the color with a brush than use a palette knife, the palette knife mix the color in a cleaner way.
