Hi Joan,
Got to be one of the nicest comment i got! Thank a lot. I study 3 of his books last 3 weeks, and i was dying out to try is system. Writing with oil , mixing directly on the canvas, a lot of medium to facilitate brushstokes. I like it a lot, plus i love his subject matter. A lot of boats from an era gone by....... As a retired captain it has a lot of attraction to me. My grandfather back in Italy had 15 of
those boats that Gruppe' loved to paint so much! Yes ship and seamens are the same all over the world, just like Artists. Thank again. My grand kids left 1 hour ago.

Hi Galina,
you honor me, unfortunatly is a copy of Emile A.Gruppe', so I don't deserve your praise. Recently I bought 3 of his book, and was fascinated by his subject matter and his system. He was an Artist and a Art Teacher with his own academy for 40 years. You are right, his composition and perspective are second to none. Masterpiece- is a true statement. I will do more copies of his work (he has some incredibly fantastic trees!)hoping that his spirit rub off on me!!!! Deat Galina thank you very much.

Ciao Mario,

Hi Vic,
Thanks a lot for your nice comment. This is a masterpiece of Emile A.Gruppe' an American Artist and teacher, that die before I came to the US, i just finished reading and studying his books, that are invaluable for me. The underlaying success of his work is for me the drawing and prospective, just incredible skills. Well worth me studying it! No wonder you like it ! He is also using orange on his palette, that is a new color to me. I saw the possibilities of the orange studying the Zorn palette, is a nice color very powerfull! Stay worm Vic.

Hi Arti,
thank you very much for your wounderful comment. I really love Gruppe' and after studying his books I think making some of his oils, give me a better chance to understand his work. Not to mention I can work in the studio, as outside is cold!
